Hi Julie,

We just wanted to give you an update on Tika, who we call Sunny now. She is really starting to react to her new name. She is doing very well, gained a little bit of weight and plays with her toys a lot. She is always very excited about going outside. At home, she is the sweetest dog, very calm and loving, no accidents and always wants to be near us. We could not ask for a better friend and we are so happy to give her this new beginning in her life. Attached are some pictures.

Thank you again for all you do for the dogs!
Just wanted to let you know that Sunny is doing wonderful. She has finally reached her full weight - about 67-68 pounds. She is a smaller shepherd but STRONG! When she sees a squirrel or a cat, one would think there is a great dane at the end of the leash! Haha!

And her nose is so good too! The other day she dug out a mole out of the ground! I was able to stop her from eating it.

She has her routine and starts waiting by her food bowl every day around 9 AM and 6 PM - she must have an internal clock! She is very loving and wants to be petted a lot. She literally walks into you when you kneel down and puts her head under your armpit. One night there was a really bad storm and Sunny climbed in Chris's lap and stayed there for about half an hour. I have never seen a lap dog that big :-)

We are so happy and thankful that we have her and if Chris ever has to go anywhere, I feel so much safer in the house. Her hearing is amazing.

Thank you again for all you do, I keep talking about your place to everybody I know. You are doing a great thing and I know it is not easy. I hope you have a great day!!
