Thinking of surrendering your dog?
Please take a look at the guidelines below.
ALSO PLEASE REMEMBER WE ARE NOT A KENNEL, WE DO NOT HAVE A CENTRAL LOCATION AND IF YOU ARE MOVING IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS, CHANCES ARE WE CANNOT ASSIST YOU IN PLACING YOUR DOG.
1. Your dog must current on heartworm preventative and have tested negative for heartworm in the past year.
2. Your dog must be up to date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered.
3. Your dog must pass our temperament evaluation and NOT have a bite history.
4. You must be willing to assist in transporting your dog to the meet and greets we set up in order to get him/her successfully adopted.
5. We do the following for our $75 surrender fee:
a. Thoroughly check out the potential adopter prior to allowing them to meet your dog. We check two personal references, a vet reference and a home check. This way you are not stuck with people who are just "shopping" around for a dog, they are serious about adopting your dog.
b. We will advertise your dog either on our website, through email, newspaper ads etc in order to get them adopted. (the actual method of advertising will be left up to NBSR).
