He rode wonderful in the car, but did not want to get out at all.  This morning he jumped right in and right out, so I think he knows he is safe and secure now.  He got along real good with the other dogs and when we fed him last night and this morning he ate like he was starved.

I attached a few pictures as well for you along with his new friends.
Hi momma Julie,

Thanks so much for finding these great people to take me home with them, I am having a fantastic time. On the way home I laid down in the back seat and slept most of the time. My parents stopped at a rest area once so that I could potty, but I acted real funny and would not get out of the car. So we continued on our way and when we got home I was sort of pulled out backwards by momma Brenda.

I ate after we got home and I was so hungry and thirsty after our long drive. There are 2 other dogs who live here Charlie and Kegan, and after we met we quickly learned to get along. I surprised momma Brenda and went into the garbage can in the kitchen. Something in there smelled so good. My parents learned that I am an outside dog because I tinkled in their bedroom. They want me to gradually spend more time indoors to help me to remember that we don't tinkle inside. I got my fur brushed and looked so much better.

The next morning I took a car ride to the vet. I did so much better in the car and came out when they called me. The vet says I'll be fine. He made me swallow 2 worm pills (yuck). They talked about someone else called Heidi who went to doggie heaven last week, and I could tell my parents loved Heidi very much. I just know they will love me that way too. My parents took me for a walk when we got home. Momma Brenda says I have to get used to walking every day. I have a new ball that I chase around and I don't share it with my other friends here. I got a real bath as well so my fur is so clean and shiny. I went into a pool and that kind of feels fun. I was careful about not going too deep. Charlie is braver and likes to swim out alittle. Kegan never ever goes into the pool. My parents took pictures of me for you to see.

I have a new name now, it is Sooner, after my poppa Bobs' college football team in Oklahoma. Well I have to go now. Someone new just came over to meet me. His name is Tex and he lives with momma Brendas' son. He likes to run so fast. I will bark at you every once in a while to let you know how I am doing.

Love Sooner (Laredo).

P.S. Momma Brenda helped me to write this letter.
