The kids were very excited.  My oldest was out of town when we brought Roman home.  I had asked the two youngest to please let Roman remain a secret until Dylan returned.   Within an hour of agreeing on keeping it a secret, our youngest (Abigayle) had already called Dylan to tell him about “her new dog”.  Abi wants to spend the majority of her time with Roman.  She plays mostly in our sun room.  She is very careful to coax Roman into the room and then very carefully closes the door.  They stay in that room for hours.  Roman has much patience for a 5 year old girl, blankets, and dolls.  I have checked on them several times to find them lying on the floor, under blankets, and Abi explaining life’s lessons to Roman.  I don’t dare interrupt that scene!

My wife called me last night to give me the highlights from the day.  She came into my wife’s room with a Baby blanket in one hand and her other hand on her hip.  She showed that the blanket had been chewed on and declared that  “Roman has got to be trained not to eat her baby’s blankets”.  My wife responded that “maybe Roman was trying to train her to keep her room picked up”!

Thanks again for sharing Roman!
