Hi Julie!

I wanted to give you an update on Gretel since it's been a few weeks. She loves living in the house and prances around in different bandanas looking as cute as ever.  She has really turned out to be a gently loving girl who is great on a leash. My husband and I have donated a few pairs of shoes to her chewing fund...as well as a lamp cord...lol! I guess that's the small price you have to pay for puppy love sometimes! We are really enjoying having her as a part of our family and are so pleased at how eager she is and how quickly she learns. I can't thank you enough for introducing us to her and allowing us to take her on as our new addition-it's been a really fun ride so far! Hope all is well with you and the pups-thanks again!
Hi Julie!
Just wanted to give you a 24 hour report on Gretel......you wouldn't believe it.  Rode like a princess the whole way home, went into Petsmart-NO pulling on the leash...got home and is sooooooo gentle with my 2 year old...she's gotten in her face a few times but no more than any other grown dog would do-and Avery (my daughter) loves her.  She was carrying me her laundry as she loves to do yesterday and Gretel was following back and forth as Avery commanded her "c'mom puppy!" She slept in the bed with us and stayed in the crate today while we were at work...not ONE accident in the house. I took her to the doggy spa for a bath today-she was pretty good and sat there while I blowdried and brushed her.  I got one of those walking harnesses with the strings that go under her front legs and I was able to walk her with my left hand yesterday while holding Avery's hand with my right. Also we went running tonight and she stayed right by my side-no puppy nipping at me and no pulling whatsoever. I new she was something special-I keep waiting for her to show her butt but she's been so good and on my side like velcro.  Only thing is last night my husband wanted to take her out again before bed and she was already in the bed with me...she got down and saw I wasn't coming so she hopped back in the bed and looked at him like he was nuts.  I had to bundle up and take her out-lol! The only time she's even been relatively hyper was she jumped last night when I took her out of the crate (I had her in there for a few minutes when I put Avery to bed) but I nudged her with  my knee and that was it...and of course when I got home from work she shot out of there like a bullet but calmed down very quickly.  SHe's passed out on the couch behind me now-I think the run sucked out some of her energy. I hope things continue this way-she's been an absolute angel so far!

Thank you so much again for squeezing us in-I have really been shaken up lately and I STILL don't believe I got a doggy this young, but I'm starting to know that it's gonna be okay.

Thanks Julie!
